About Me
Hadi Bhurgri, MD, has been practicing gastroenterology at Phelps Health since August 2017. As a gastroenterologist, Dr. Bhurgri sees patients for a wide variety of general gastroenterology conditions, including heartburn, stomachache, indigestion and Barrett’s esophagus, where the lining of the esophagus becomes damaged. Dr. Bhurgri is trained in numerous general gastroenterology procedures, such as upper endoscopies and colonoscopies. In 2008, he earned his medical degree from Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan. In the US, Dr. Bhurgri studied at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, and Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, as a visiting medical student. In 2014, he completed a residency program in internal medicine followed by a fellowship specializing in gastroenterology, both at Rutgers University’s New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey. Dr. Bhurgri sees patients in Suite 580 of the Phelps Health Medical Office Building.
Dr. Bhurgri also offers Telehealth visits, which allow patients to visit him remotely using a smartphone with audio and video capabilities.
