About Me

Patricia DeForest, DO, joined the Phelps Health Medical Group as a pediatrician in January 2021. She graduated from medical school at Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia. She completed her residency training and a fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. As a pediatrician, she sees patients from birth up to age 18. Dr. DeForest said she wants families to feel safe and secure in the plan that they come up with together. Before becoming a pediatrician, she worked in the education field for about 20 years. Dr. DeForest is from Texas. She is married to her husband, Bart, and they have three grown children.

Dr. DeForest also offers Telehealth visits, which allow patients to visit her remotely using a smartphone with audio and video capabilities.
