Jason Bartholomew

Senior Vice President of Medical Group Operations

I’m Jason Bartholomew, senior vice president of medical group operations at Phelps Health. My education includes a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Southern Adventist University and a master’s degree in business focused on healthcare management from Loma Linda University.

My career in healthcare management began by filing paperwork in my father’s medical practice in Nashville, Tennessee. My father is an anesthesiologist and initially, I wanted to follow in his clinical footsteps. Organic chemistry and I didn’t jive, however, and as a pre-med student, I switched over to the business side of healthcare. Working in my father’s clinic was extremely rewarding and helped to shape my desire to serve in any way possible.

After receiving my master’s degree, I joined HCA Physician Services Group in Nashville, where I served in various leadership roles over the course of several years. Prior to joining Phelps Health, I worked as the senior operations leader of the medical group at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.

I was born in Redlands, California, but grew up in Music City USA (Nashville), and now call Rolla home. My wife, Lindsey, and I have three beautiful children and two dogs, a chocolate and a yellow lab. We enjoy spending time together through a variety of sports, including soccer, golf, basketball, dance, tumbling and watersports. I’m an unapologetic and lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, which is a running joke in our home. My family members, much to my chagrin, enthusiastically root for the Cowboys’ opponents. Most of my free time is spent shuttling kids around to various activities and often coaching many of these activities. My wife and I love Rolla’s small-town feel and the chance to live, work and play in the same community.

I joined Phelps Health in 2023 and am privileged to work with some of the most talented individuals and providers in the industry. I love the opportunity and duty we have to make a difference in our local community by providing top-notch healthcare while keeping our organizational culture strong in an ever-changing environment.
