John Money
Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Philanthropy
I’m John Money, senior vice president of human resources and philanthropy at Phelps Health. My educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in human resource management and psychology, and a master’s in human resource development, both from Webster University.
Prior to joining Phelps Health in 2022, I worked in various leadership capacities for a behavioral health agency for children and youth. I enjoy being in a helping profession and am drawn to the altruistic healthcare environment at Phelps Health. It’s an honor to work alongside our amazing staff, who work tirelessly to make a positive difference in our community.
In my current role, my goal is to make our organization a destination workplace for healthcare employees. I also support the Phelps Health Foundation and look forward to engaging in efforts to achieve healthcare goals for our region. Through community collaboration, we can make Phelps Health a preferred health system.
I serve as an at-large board member of the Meramec Regional Planning Commission (MRPC), representing healthcare. I also serve as a member of the Phelps County Community Foundation (PCCF) Board of Directors. In these roles, I focus on community improvement through collaborative efforts, striving to make a positive impact on lives in our region, our cities and our counties.
Having raised two children in this community, my wife and I call St. James our home. We live on a little farm and appreciate the small town values and hospitality of this community. We enjoy hosting people in two Airbnbs on our property, offering visitors a relaxing stay and the opportunity to experience the treasures of rural living and the great outdoors.
Phelps Health plays a critical role in supporting the health and well-being of Phelps County and the surrounding communities. I am proud to be associated with the team.
