John Money

Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Philanthropy

I’m John Money, senior vice president of human resources and philanthropy at Phelps Health. My educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in human resource management and psychology, and a master’s in human resource development, both from Webster University. I received my Change Leader Certification with the Joint Commission Center for Transforming Healthcare in 2017. The center offers a unique approach to help healthcare organizations achieve performance excellence. Prior to joining Phelps Health in 2022, I worked in administration and human resources for a behavioral health agency for children and youth. I have always been in helping professions and was drawn to the altruistic healthcare environment here at Phelps Health. A leadership opportunity arose, and I felt it was a great opportunity to make a difference.

In my current role, my goal is to make our organization a destination workplace for healthcare professionals. I also support the Phelps Health Foundation and look forward to engaging in efforts to strengthen the healthcare goals for this community. Through community collaboration, we can make Phelps Health a preferred health system.

Having raised two children in this community, my wife and I call St. James our home. We live on a little farm and enjoy the small-town values and hospitality of this community. We enjoy hosting people in two Airbnbs on our property, offering visitors a relaxing stay and the opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors and treasures of rural living.

Phelps Health makes a positive impact in Phelps County and the surrounding communities. I am proud to be associated with the team.
