Some patients have contacted us with concerns about text messages they’ve received from Phelps Health.
We want to reassure you: these messages are legitimate and not a scam.
Phelps Health now uses Hello World, a secure text messaging service that helps you stay connected with your care. Beginning February 17, you may receive helpful texts about appointments, visits, medications, billing and your MyChart account.
What to look for:
- Messages will come from short code 53246
- You may see messages such as:
“Thanks for signing up for Phelps Health texts…”
or reminders related to your care
Hello World does not replace MyChart. MyChart remains our primary patient portal. Text messaging is simply an added option for convenient updates.
If you receive a message claiming to be from Phelps Health that does not match this information, or if something doesn’t seem right, please contact us before clicking any links or sharing personal information. We are happy to help verify it for you.
You are always in control of your messages:
- Text STOP to opt out.
- Text HELP for assistance.
- Update your preferences anytime in MyChart.
We encourage you to stay enrolled, as this service helps us share important health information quickly and securely. For more information, view this tip sheet.
