Phelps Health – in partnership with Air Methods, a leader in emergency air medical services – operates air medical services to residents of Rolla, Missouri, and the surrounding areas.
Air Methods is ready to save lives at every moment of every day, with over 300 bases of operations and serving 48 states. With the help of over 4,500 team members, Air Methods each year transports about 100,000 patients, using the latest safety technology, including the largest civilian fleet of helicopters, fully-equipped with Night Vision Goggle technology.

Phelps Air also carries blood products in the helicopter, which can help improve patient outcomes.
Phelps Air is located on hospital property and staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The air medical crew consists of teams of highly-trained and specialized flight nurses, flight paramedics and pilots, who rotate in shifts for round-the-clock coverage. The team’s dedicated mechanic strives to ensure there is no downtime and maintains the helicopter to always be ready.

The goal of Phelps Air - Air Methods is to provide safe and reliable lifesaving treatment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. We strive to treat each patient with care and help them navigate the insurance process. At Phelps Air - Air Methods, we are taking a new approach to achieve a better outcome for patients, with no membership required. We believe everyone deserves access to air medical care without the confusion memberships can sometimes create.
Our industry-leading Patient Advocacy Program works on behalf of a patient's family following an air medical flight.
We are in-network with a growing list of major and local insurers.
All patients who are transported by Phelps Air - Air Methods will have access to our patient advocacy services to help with the post-flight billing process and to avoid costly out-of-pocket expenses.
