The Phelps Health Marketing and Public Relations Department was recently recognized for exceptional performance in advertising and marketing efforts.

The Marketing Department earned 11 Aster Awards in an international competition hosted by Creative Images, Inc. Now in its 22nd year, the prestigious Aster Awards recognize outstanding creativity and professionalism in healthcare advertising, marketing and communications. Phelps Health has a history of winning awards from this organization.

“These awards are a true testament to the hard work, creativity and dedication of our team, reflecting our commitment to creating marketing and communication campaigns that resonate with the communities we serve,” said Phelps Health Director of Marketing Strategy Sarah Potter.

The Aster Awards presented to Phelps Health were for work completed in 2023. Phelps Health’s entries were judged against submissions from similar-sized organizations across the United States and abroad. The Phelps Health Marketing Department won an impressive array of awards, including three Gold Awards, seven Silver Awards and one Bronze Award, showcasing high levels of excellence and innovation.

  • Three Gold Awards (presented to the top 5% of entries in the nation) were earned in the following categories: blogs, photo/illustration and crisis management.
  • Seven Silver Awards (presented to the top 12% of entries in the nation) were received in the following categories: billboard design, brochure advertising, magazine publication – series, newspaper design, outdoor transit design, invitations and social media campaign.
  • One Bronze Award (presented to the top 12% of entries in the nation) was also attained in the flyer category.

A panel of industry experts judged all the Aster Awards entries. Judging criteria included creativity, layout and design, typography, production, quality, and overall effectiveness.

“The continued success of our Marketing Department showcases our commitment to excellence and innovation in reaching and engaging with our communities,” said Phelps Health Associate Vice President of Strategic Communications, Learning and Outreach Somer Overshon. “The awards are also proof of the dedication and creativity of our team.”
