Phelps Health proposes to purchase a new, multipurpose catheterization lab. Currently, Phelps Health has one lab that provides cardiac, peripheral vascular and implementation of cardiac rhythm management devices. The addition of another catheterization lab will help to provide more efficient care to heart attack victims, better serve the community’s cardiovascular needs, expand the cardiac service line and interventional services, allow for improved throughput and workflow, and help in the recruitment of an additional diagnostic and interventional cardiologist. A letter of intent was filed with the Missouri Health Facilities Review Committee.
