Emily Hahn-Wilson, DO

I’m Emily Hahn-Wilson, DO, and I joined Phelps Health in September 2026 as an obstetrician and gynecologist (OB/GYN). I see adolescent and adult patients for a variety of women’s health concerns, including pregnancy, postpartum care and contraception counseling. I also perform sterilization, hysterectomy and well-woman exams and am skilled at robotic, laparoscopic and vaginal surgeries.

I have wanted to pursue medicine since childhood. I loved learning about the human body in school, and the more I learned, the more my passion grew. Being a doctor means you have to be a lifelong learner, which is something I value and enjoy.

During medical school, I completed a rural OB/GYN rotation and saw the impact this care can have on a community. I enjoy both the clinical and surgical aspects of OB/GYN care, as well as the opportunity to care for two patients at once. It’s a specialty that brings many meaningful moments, both difficult and joyous.

Creating a warm and open-minded environment is important to me. I want my patients to feel heard and comfortable asking questions and sharing their concerns so we can have open, honest conversations about their care. Patient trust is important, but it’s not automatic—it must be earned. I take a team-based approach to care, working collaboratively with my patients to find a treatment plan they feel comfortable with while building that trust.

I chose Phelps Health because its mission aligns with my values and I feel I can make a positive impact in the community here. I also appreciate how warm and caring everyone is.

I’m originally from St. Louis, but currently live in Rolla with my husband and our son. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, trying new foods and restaurants, and, of course, being with my family.
