About Me
I’m Rebecca Fryer, DO, and I joined Phelps Health in September 2024 as a primary care and family medicine physician. I am accepting new patients of all ages. My practice focuses on a variety of services, including well-child visits, adult preventive care, women’s health and osteopathic manipulation treatment (OMT). I also offer medication-assisted treatment for substance use disorders.
I grew up in a close-knit family in Rolla, spending much of my time with my grandparents and cousins. As a child, I watched preventable conditions ruin the health of my aunts and uncles. I wholeheartedly wished they had someone they trusted looking out for them, and I decided to become that person. After graduating from Rolla High School and the University of Missouri-Columbia, I enrolled in medical school at A.T. Still University in Arizona, where I earned my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. Now, I’m excited to return to my hometown to practice medicine and raise my daughter surrounded by the same tight family bonds that shaped my childhood.
In my free time, I stay active in the community by leading a Girl Scout troop with my aunt. I love spending time outdoors with my family. We enjoy camping, bonfires and making s’mores, as well as going on float trips in the summer.
As a family medicine physician, I am passionate about caring for entire families, especially mothers and their children. After I became a mother, I realized the importance of treating the entire family. Mothers often prioritize their children’s health over their own. I strive to provide care that supports both, making it easier for mothers to attend to their own well-being. I love that as a family doctor, I can care for everyone.
In my practice, I focus on shared decision-making because I understand that patients know their bodies better than anyone else. My role as a physician is to guide, educate and support my patients in making informed choices that align with their needs and goals. Building long-term relationships with families and seeing the positive impact on their health is incredibly rewarding.
As another convenience, I also offer telehealth visits, which allow patients to visit with me remotely using a smartphone, tablet or computer with an internet connection and audio-video capabilities.

Everyone was courteous and willing to assist as needed. Front staff opened the front door and assisted patients into the building. Nurses were caring and understanding of a patients limits. Dr was amazing and listened to all concerns and explained each option.
Dr. Fryer-Gordon is always very great to listen to what I need, what my needs are for my appointment and will listen to all of it and treats me as a whole person and not just the possible chief complaint I'm coming in for. So it's very appreciated that she takes her time and listens to me as a whole patient and not just a quick fix. So that's really appreciated and I'm very grateful for her.
Medication refill request need to be better communicated between the person taking down the refill request

I was there for a physical examination. Only weight and temperature were taken. I was taken to a room and waited for 40 minutes to have a five-minute conversation with the Doctor. She asked What can I do for you? She listened to my heartbeat and lungs, which culminated the examinations. Apart from having blood work done, I'm not sure it was worth having a yearly physical. I'm so disappointed
I appreciate Doctor Fryers follow up after my appointment. That personal contact isn't typically done with so much text and emails being the norm.

The office staff greeted me in a very pleasant manner. My nurse went over my chart and asked what I wanted to achieve from the appointment. My provider treated me as a person and not a time slot.

As far as the staff, they were extremely friendly, courteous, and kind. The staff efficiently moved me through the process of signing in. Dr. Fryer, I cannot recommend highly enough. In speaking with her, I could tell she was extremely knowledgable about her field. Most doctors are, but what makes her unique is she explains medical jargon in English. After her explanation, she allowed me to have a say in my treatment which is refreshing. Lastly, and this is the most important characteristic about Dr. Fryer, she cares about her patients deeply as human beings. This is an attribute most doctors don't have but Dr. Fryer has in abundance. A 100 out of 10 stars. If you need a doctor, call her office. You will not be disappointed.

The waiting time
Dr. Fryer took the time to listen to my history she spent at least 30 min. She is such a joy to talk to and truly listened.
Being a new patient I taught blood work might be done to give a base numbers.

Dr Rebbeca Fryer was so welcoming and took the time to listen and help to try and find me a diagnosis. I have been to the ER 5x with test after test and none have takin the time to explain anything or hear all my ailments until her. She is patient and kind and I look forward to seeing her again to help me through this difficult process.

I was given an appointment really fast to address some major medical issues that I have and it was refreshing to visit with a doctor that seemed very compassionate and eager to help me with my problems.
ER personnel and 3rd floor staff were fantastic. Phelps Health has grown into a top notch hospital where everyone knows their role. My wife and I couldn't be more pleased with the treatment we received.
Rebecca was amazing. She took her time to listen and check over me very thoroughly and explained everything, gave me antibiotics, and got me back to 100. She is absolutely amazing and everybody should go see her.
