Shruti Sinha, MD

I’m Shruti Sinha, MD, and I joined Phelps Health as a pediatrician in September 2023. I see patients from newborn to age 18.

I offer wellness visits and see pediatric patients for common childhood illnesses. I also can help patients with ADHD, allergies and asthma.

I grew up in a small town in northern India and was born into medicine, you might say. My father is a surgeon, and my mother and grandmother are obstetricians and gynecologists (OB/GYNs). Because of my family connections, I was interested in healthcare from a young age.

After completing my pediatric rotation in residency, I decided to specialize in this field. I enjoy working with children and find it incredibly rewarding to connect with them and watch them grow.

I believe in patient-centered healthcare, where I involve my patients and their parents in every step of the treatment plan. I adapt these plans to my patients’ preferences, needs and values, in the hopes of building a strong doctor-patient relationship.

My husband and I have called Rolla home for several years now. He teaches and works in research at Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T). We like the small-town atmosphere, and I’m privileged to provide pediatric care here.

In my free time, my husband and I love to travel, and Alaska is our favorite destination. Past trip highlights include going on a glacier cruise and seeing the Northern Lights. I also enjoy cooking, particularly spicy foods, like Sichuan cuisine. At home, you might find me watching suspenseful or true-crime movies and TV shows. In addition to English, I also speak Hindi.
