The Phelps Health Foundation hosted two Heart-2-Heart events this year, raising over $74,000 to support critical cardiac care initiatives at Phelps Health. In 2024 alone, the Phelps Health Heart and Vascular Center is expected to serve over 8,000 patients in our region, highlighting the need for high-quality heart care.
The events, held on August 28 at Spencer Manor Winery and October 4 at the Waynesville Career Center, brought together community members, healthcare professionals and generous donors to support a vital cause.
Funds raised from both events will be used to purchase lifesaving cardiac equipment, including:
- ICE Software and Adapter: This innovative technology enhances the effectiveness of cardiac catheterization procedures.
- EKOS System: This advanced therapy breaks up blood clots, leading to improved patient outcomes.
- ClosureFast Generator and Tumescent Pump: These tools are used for minimally invasive vein treatments, reducing pain and improving mobility.
The Foundation sincerely thanks its sponsors, silent auction donors, committee members and board members for their invaluable contributions to these successful events.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support of our communities,” said Paige Heitman, director of philanthropy at the Foundation. “These funds will directly impact the lives of countless patients in our region.”
