- Employees and volunteers contributed food and money, filling 150 boxes and raising $5,400 for perishable items.
- The Mission Possible group led the 14th annual "Basket of Thanksgiving" food drive to support the local community.
Phelps Health partnered with the Greater Rolla Area Charitable Enterprise (G.R.A.C.E.) this fall to provide holiday meals to local families in need.
The healthcare organization encouraged employees and volunteers to donate nonperishable food items during the 14th annual “Basket of Thanksgiving” food drive, held October 8 through November 8, 2024. Monetary donations were also accepted to purchase turkeys, butter, eggs and other perishable items families would need to prepare their holiday dinner.
The Phelps Health Mission Possible team, an employee-led committee focused on service projects, sponsors this annual food drive. Mission Possible collected a total of 150 boxes of food, 854 additional food items and $5,400 to spend on perishable items to accompany the boxes. G.R.A.C.E. then distributed the boxes to local families.
“On behalf of Mission Possible, I’d like to thank our volunteers and employees who contributed to this need in our community,” said Crystal Lorah, director of the Phelps Health Auxiliary and Volunteer Services. “Special thanks goes to our Marketing Department, Auxiliary Board and Foundation for also donating monetarily. Having been involved with this drive since its beginning, I’m continuously amazed by the generosity within Phelps Health.”
