- The Phelps Health Foundation has partnered with The Centre to offer the MyFitRx® program at a reduced cost for patients, helping those with chronic conditions improve their health through guided exercise.
- MyFitRx® offers personalized fitness plans led by certified specialists, with The Centre being the first fitness center in Missouri to earn Medical Fitness Association certification.
- The Phelps Health Foundation will cover half of the $99 program fee for patients referred by Phelps Health providers, making it more affordable for those in need.
The Phelps Health Foundation has teamed up with The Centre, Rolla’s Health and Recreation Complex, to offer the MyFitRx® program at a lower cost to patients who qualify. This program helps people with chronic health issues and those who need extra support to get more active and improve their health.
“The MyFitRx® program gives patients a chance to take control of their health in a supportive, organized way,” said Phelps Health Foundation President Dr. Chris Spencer. “We look forward to working with The Centre to provide this resource, which will improve the health of our community.”
MyFitRx® gives patients referrals from their healthcare providers for exercise sessions led by fitness specialists. These specialists have degrees and national certifications in health and fitness, ensuring expert care and personalized fitness plans. Recently, the Centre became the first fitness center in Missouri to be certified by the Medical Fitness Association. This recognition shows that Phelps Health patients will get top-quality fitness guidance.
The Foundation will cover half of the $99 MyFitRx® program fee for patients in need who Phelps Health providers refer.
