Phelps Health Foundation’s Annual Heart-2-Heart Dinner Raises Funds for New Blood Pressure Treatment

The Phelps Health Foundation hosted its 2026 Heart-2-Heart fundraiser at Spencer Manor Winery on Thursday, October 1. The annual dinner brought together community members, healthcare professionals and generous donors to support advanced cardiac care at Phelps Health.

This year’s event raised funds to bring renal denervation (RDN), an innovative treatment for resistant hypertension (high blood pressure), to the health system.

RDN is a minimally invasive procedure that uses a catheter to help lower blood pressure by calming overactive nerves around the kidney arteries. It does not require open surgery or permanent implants. Patients typically can return home the same day or after a short recovery period. 

Bringing RDN to Phelps Health will strengthen the cardiovascular program and expand access to advanced care throughout the region, allowing more patients to receive specialized treatment close to home.
