Allison Blacksher, PA-C

I’m Allison Blacksher, PA-C, a board-certified physician assistant who joined Phelps Health in August 2026. My collaborating physician is Phelps Health Family Physician Gregory Maynard, DO. I care for patients of all ages, providing primary care for acute illnesses, chronic conditions, wellness visits and more.

Family medicine appealed to me because I’ve always liked problem solving while also valuing the opportunity to listen, connect and build relationships with people. I enjoy following patients throughout their life journeys and helping them feel confident in their care. As a provider, I focus on treating the whole person and creating treatment plans that support each patient’s unique needs.

Originally from Joplin, I now live in Cuba with my husband, our two boys and our dog. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether playing ball, camping, hiking or waterskiing.

I chose to join Phelps Health because I was inspired by the health system’s commitment to being involved in the community and making a difference in the lives of the people it serves.

I also offer telehealth visits, which allow patients to meet with me remotely using a smartphone, tablet or computer with an internet connection and audio-video capabilities.
