About Me
I'm Anaid Hernandez-Sanchez, MD, a board-certified internal medicine physician who joined Phelps Health in 2020. I see adult patients (ages 18 and up) in Rolla.
In high school, I enjoyed biology, chemistry and anatomy. I had the opportunity to volunteer for a dispensary, a charity clinic for people who have no economic resources for medical care. I had a great experience there, and I believe it was a cornerstone for my decision to become a physician.
I attended medical school in Mexico and continued my medical training by completing a 3-year internal medicine residency program at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida.
I chose internal medicine as my specialty because it's a great field where I can see patients with multiple conditions and diseases in the same office. I get to know each patient as a whole person, building a connection with them.
I care for my patients as I would like to be treated, using the golden rule. I listen to them, and together we decide the best plan for treatment.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends as well as cooking. I love trying new foods and getting to know different cultures. I was born and raised in Mexico, and I’m fluent in English and Spanish.
I offer same-day or next-business day appointments. I also offer telehealth visits, which allow patients to visit with me remotely using a smartphone, tablet or computer with an internet connection and audio-video capabilities.

Dr Sanchez is new to me since my pcp retired and she had made the transition easier for me by making me feel comfortable and explains things well of medical care. I trust her. I hope to stay established with her

Dr. Hernandez is wonderful as well as all staff.
There needs to be disposable paper sheets on the examination table and a disposable or reusable pillow case for the pillow. Why wouldn't that be done and why wouldn't that be standard operating procedure?
I have recommended Dr Hernandez-Sanchez to several people. We appreciate her commitment to truly listen and the responsiveness of her staff. I cannot express how grateful we are to have her as our physician.
The front desk staff seemed to be more occupied with their social conversations than the patients.

The front desk staff and nurse was so caring and treated everyone that walked in while in the waiting room with kindness and respect. Dr. Anaid Sanchez is beyond kind, she listens to my every need, comes up with solutions that actually help me tremendously. She spends that quality time with you, that right there shows me she cares.

Excellent team work, providing understanding for each diagnosis and treating each diagnosis as an individual problem. Too often physicians lump patients as everyone having the same issue. Dr. Hernandez is a good listener, she addresses each concern giving direction and then restating prior to your exit.

I was seen quickly after calling with my issue and my doctor concerned herself with trying to find out why I was ill. Also, the lab person who took my blood was very accommodating even though it was very close to closing time. In addition, the nurse was friendly and efficient.

She spent time with me going over my test information on My Chart and asked questions about my overall health and answered all my questions. She spent approximately 45 minutes with me. I felt she got to know me and listened to me.
