About Me
I'm Fawad Virk, MD, FACC, and I joined Phelps Health as a cardiologist and an interventional cardiologist in 2021. I see patients 18 years or older.
When caring for my patients, I take a holistic approach. I look beyond the disease and see my patient as a whole.
I developed an interest in medicine because I enjoyed studying biology and how the human body works. I chose to specialize in cardiology because in many cases, I can make a difference in a patient’s quality of life rather quickly. I consider myself approachable and use the best possible, evidence-based care with my patients.
At the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, I was honored to be named the Best Cardiology Fellow. I am married with one son. In my free time, I enjoy food and outdoor activities. I am fluent in several languages, including English, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi.
I also offer telehealth visits, which allow patients to visit with me remotely using a smartphone, tablet or computer with an internet connection and audio-video capabilities.

The overall visit was very smooth and completely professional. From check-in, to vitals screen and nurse interaction, to doctors exam, all parts of the visit were almost seamless.
Everyone was friendly, yet professional. Kait really helped me feel comfortable. I was really nervous.
I was extremely satisfied in this first visit with Dr. Virk. He was very thorough in answering my questions, and they were many. He also dumbed down his answers, so I would be able to understand. Most importantly, I came away, feeling like he was genuinely interested in helping me.
Dr. Virk, saved my life. When I had some minor symptoms, he conducted tests until he found what was wrong. I ended up having a 100% blockage and needed triple bypass surgery. He has been very helpful and helps me understand what is going on. He has also been supportive and interested in my recovery and cardiac rehab.

Dr Virk was delightful and open in his approach to me as a new patient.
The front desk was very unpersonable no smiles no inter action only brief question that had to be ask and answered very unsociable
All was great you done just fine .
Everyone was great, except the entire building was very cold. I realized it was a cold day, and I would expect the lobby to be cold because of the constant door openings, but not cold on the clinic floors. The staff all had coats or sweat shirts. I never did take my coat off. Next time I will cancel my appointment if the day will be that cold!

Dr. Virk and the whole staff are awesome! They're always respectful, courteous and very professional. I have referred several people to Dr. Virk including three of my family members to include my mother and father. He is always in a good mood, wants to know genuinely how you're doing and sincerely cares. Phelps Health is fortunate to have him as a leader in cardiac care.

The doctor and nurse were terrific. The checkout person acted like it was an imposition to make me a 6 mo follow up appointment. He was carrying on a personal conversation with his co worker during the time I was waiting for the appointment information.
Filthy place. Needs cleaning and repair . I can't feel that it is a place I feel comfortable for that reason

please advise patients on most economical value for the patient for lab work or other procedures rather than in the best interest of Phelps Health. Health care is already extremely expensive.

I had a good experience and I always appreciate when my appointment is on time.
I was treated with respect. I had to go to the bathroom but I was the next person up so I told the nurse and she showed me where it was and let me go before I was weighed. The doctor remember my daughter came with me last time and wrote what he and his Co worker talked about doing so I could give the info to my daughter. I think everyone went above and beyond for me.
