About Me
I’m Robert Swanson, MD, a radiation oncologist who joined Phelps Health in 2019. I see and treat adult patients (ages 18 and up) for cancer and some nonmalignant (noncancerous) diseases. I treat patients with radiation therapy, using targeted and regulated doses of radiation to kill cancer cells.
My interests in life science, physics, research and healthcare led me to pursue a career in radiation oncology. As a cancer provider, my care philosophy is to treat patients as I would like to be treated. I have nearly 30 years of experience in my field.
I am proud to be a part of the Phelps Health Delbert Day Cancer Institute (DDCI), a nationally accredited cancer center involved with cancer research.
