Sylvester Youlo, MD, FAAOS, FAAHKS

I’m Sylvester Youlo, MD, FAAOS, FAAHKS, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who joined Phelps Health in 2020. I am a Fellow of both the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, with years of experience in my field. In addition to general orthopedics, I’m uniquely skilled to care for athletes of all ages, with sub-specialization fellowship training in sports medicine.

I grew up in a small town in Liberia, West Africa, and moved to the United States in 2000. My wife and three children bring great joy to my personal life. I enjoy cooking and preparing West African-inspired cuisines for my family, even after a busy professional day. In my spare time, I have authored four books.
