About Me

I’m Tasha Freeman, FNP-C, MSN, a certified family nurse practitioner who joined Phelps Health in February 2026. My collaborating physician is Mylhan Myers, DO. I see patients of all ages for primary care. I can help patients with well-woman exams, family planning, sutures, incision and drainage, joint injections, and removal of skin lesions.

I’ve always had a strong desire to help others and make a meaningful impact on their lives. When I was 16, I had the opportunity to be present for my nephew’s birth and assist with cutting the umbilical cord. This opportunity, along with watching the nurses care for him in the early moments of his life, was a powerful experience and solidified my passion for healthcare. I realized that nurses not only deliver care, but also support families through some of life’s most significant and emotional moments.

During my 19 years as a registered nurse, I worked in a variety of specialties and cared for patients at every stage of life. Nursing brought me joy and fulfillment, and each experience taught me something new. As I advanced in my career, I chose to become a family nurse practitioner to continue that journey in a new and expanded way.

I take a holistic approach to care, supporting my patients throughout their healthcare journey. I believe every patient deserves to be heard, understood and treated with compassion and respect. I partner with patients to help them make informed decisions aligned with their values and needs.

I grew up in Steelville, Missouri, and have always felt drawn to caring for rural communities. Phelps Health is the right fit for me, with a welcoming, team-oriented culture I’m proud to be a part of.

I currently live in Sullivan, Missouri, with my husband. We have four boys, as well as cats, dogs, chickens and cows. When I’m not working, I enjoy camping and glamping, spending time with my family, and exploring the many outdoor recreation opportunities in the area.

I also offer telehealth visits, which allow patients to visit with me remotely using a smartphone, tablet or computer with an internet connection and audio-video capabilities.
