Brittany Waterworth, FNP-C

I’m Brittany Waterworth, FNP-C, and I joined Phelps Health as a certified family nurse practitioner in September 2023. I see both children and adults for ear, nose and throat (ENT) and allergy concerns. My collaborating physician is Phelps Health ENT/Allergy Physician Brian Kriete, MD.

I can help patients with the treatment and maintenance of environmental allergies. I also see patients for chronic ear infections, sinus infections and management of thyroid conditions.

Over the years, I have witnessed the dedication and compassion of doctors and nurses who have cared for close family members of mine. Seeing the impact they had on the well-being of my loved ones inspired me to pursue a career where I, too, can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

The ENT specialty has a wide range of illnesses, from acute to chronic problems, and this variety allows me to experience continuous learning and growth opportunities. I also like the diversity of age groups I can help. Being able to contribute to the well-being of patients at different stages of life is truly rewarding to me.

My philosophy of care is to treat people like family. I never make a recommendation to a patient that I wouldn’t make to my family. I also try to empower patients to make their own decisions that fit their lives in the best way.

I began working at Phelps Health in 2015 as a registered nurse. After getting my master’s degree, I wanted to come back and work for Phelps Health, having witnessed firsthand the potential for employee growth. I also like the fact that Phelps Health serves multiple communities.

I was raised in St. James and now live in Rolla. I am married with two children and a labradoodle. I’m involved in my children’s school parent-teacher organization (PTO). In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, like camping, walking, running and gardening. I also love to read.
