Phelps Health has released its 2025 annual impact report, reflecting a year of growth, new services, national recognition and continued investment in the region. The report underscores a commitment to expanding access to care, strengthening quality and supporting the health and well‑being of the community.

The 2025 report highlights several notable achievements, including recognition as one of Forbes’  Best‑in‑State Employers and certification as a Primary Heart Attack Center—a significant milestone in advancing emergency cardiac care.

“In recent years, we have continued to elevate the level of care we provide, and these achievements reflect the dedication of our teams across the organization,” said Jason Shenefield, president and CEO. “We remain focused on advancing quality initiatives that improve outcomes and enhance the patient experience across all areas of care.”

The report also provides a comprehensive look at patient care and financial data, including an economic impact of more than $258 million and more than $7 million in charity care and community donations. Shenefield noted that financial stewardship remains essential as rural hospitals continue to face significant pressures.

“The provider side of healthcare has been under tremendous financial strain,” he said. “While rural hospitals face unique challenges, our disciplined approach to financial management has helped strengthen our organization for the future.”

The report includes patient experience survey results, which continue to guide efforts to strengthen the care experience. Feedback from patients remains an essential part of how we evaluate our performance and identify opportunities to enhance the services we provide.

“I am grateful to all of our staff and providers for their work in 2025,” Shenefield said. “This report reflects the impact of their commitment and the difference they make for our community every day.”
