Jenna Sanders, PA-C

I’m Jenna Sanders, PA-C, a board-certified physician assistant specializing in orthopedics. I joined Phelps Health in January 2026, collaborating with Orthopedic Surgeon Sylvester Youlo, MD, MBA, MHA, FAAOS, FAAHKS.

I’m originally from Michigan where I grew up playing sports and frequenting the local library. I went to college at the University of Michigan and earned my bachelor’s degree in biology and Spanish. I then went to PA school and received a Master of Science from the Faulkner University College of Health Sciences. 

From a young age, my parents influenced me to help others and be a team player. This upbringing shaped my sense of empathy and inspired me to choose a career in medicine. As an athlete, I am especially drawn to sports medicine and am driven to help patients optimize physical performance and return to play as quickly and safely as possible.

My goal as a PA is to empower patients to make informed decisions about their health while serving as a guide in understanding their options. When appropriate, I prefer to begin with conservative treatments such as physical therapy, lifestyle changes, medications or injections before considering surgery. Most important to me is that patients feel cared for and achieve positive outcomes.

In my free time, my husband and I enjoy playing basketball and tennis, riding bikes, and going on coffee dates.
