About Me
I'm Jennifer O’Malley, MD, a family medicine physician with Phelps Health. I received my medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. I completed my residency training at the same university. I see patients of all ages. My collaborating provider is family nurse practitioner Jordan Priest, DNP, FNP-BC.
I also offer telehealth visits, which allow patients to visit with me remotely using a smartphone, tablet or computer with an internet connection and audio-video capabilities.

I'm always appreciative to not have a long wait beyond my scheduled appointment time. The nurses and the physician are always personable, understanding and are willing to listen without making me feel rushed. Pleased to have found such a great place.

It was fine
Nothing to improve or complain about. The waiting time was very short. Everyone was thoughtful and efficient. I wouldn't consider going to any primary other than Dr. O'Malley. I hope she doesn't ever leave, but I can imagine she is being head-hunted by other hospitals. Maybe she should get a raise. (I said that, not her. No such subject came up).

The wait wasn't long. The doctor listened to me. I felt like I was heard. She took the time to explain things to me. It was overall a good experience. But best of all was there was no long wait. I liked that. I came in a little early. I got brought in a little early. The doctor saw me a little early. So it worked out wonderfully. There was no long wait anywhere. That was the key to me. All right. Thank you.
My experience was great and I have, I mistakenly on your question about the front desk, I pressed two before I heard option three and four, the girl at the front.
Excellent visit. Everyone was friendly and kind and interested in helping. Dr O'Malley is wonderful.

Provider is easy to talk to, she is attentive and listens. Always pleasant and I don't feel rushed.
Check out & setting up next appointment was rough, but I think the person was new. Her teacher sitting next to her could have been more helpful. Otherwise everyone was very friendly.
I'm always surprised by how quickly I'm taken from the waiting room and hiw quickly Dr. O'Malley gets to the exam room. It feels like the office isn't overbooked. Everything runs smoothly.

Dr O'Malley is the absolute best!! I just love her. She comes across as a real person, not just a Dr., and is so relatable, and really cares about me as a whole person. She is great at listening, and not rushing thru a visit, and offers options and/or ideas to help any issue or symptom. Can't say enough good about her!

Dr. O'Malley is personable, listens, and provides feedback to your concerns. It never feels like she is in too big of a hurry to give you the care you need.
While it was a little difficult navigating the phone system, Jennifer and her staff went out of their way to get me a quick appointment and to contact me about it. I called one day and met with her the following day for a quick diagnosis. Everybody was wonderful.

Dr. O Malley is a phenomenal doctor, exclamation point. She listens and gets you to doctors that you need to go to. She's encouraging, she's supportive, she is just an amazing person and doctor.
I would have liked to have had a chance to talk with Dr O'Malley about my lab and blood work as I have several questions, however, Jennifer texted me saying my labs were ok and we will keep a close eye on it. I have several CBC tests that were either too low or high and I need to talk it out with the Dr.
Visit went very good and everyone was helpful and kind. Only negative is, portal messages and calling office to get a call back isn't very timely.
Dr O'Malley got me in quickly to followup on my hospital visit when I know her schedule was full for quite some time. She took the time I needed to explain next steps and listen to my experience and schedule procedures needed. This will be an ongoing situation that fully expect she will provide the best service possible.

Dr. O'Malley is a genuine CARE provider. She listens attentively, closely, and perhaps most importantly unhurriedly. I feel as comfortable in her care as I ever have in any doctor's.
Everything was perfect.
At the front desk I stood for about 8 to 9 minutes before the receptionist asked me for my name. The receptionist was on the phone when I walked up to the desk, but... she should have at least acknowledged me, or whispered she would be with me in a minute.
Always pleasant to see and I understand me very well. God bless them all give him health and strength so they can be there for people to help take care of them and see that they're OK..!

Dr. J. O'Malley treats me like a person with problems not just a problem. She is very engaged, listens carefully & makes recommendations & is sure you are on board with them before ordering anything. I appreciate the promptness to get in on time. The wait was less than ten minutes for the doctor once I was in the exam room. Dr. O'Malley was attentive and asked several questions. We discussed various treatment for my shoulder pain and sleeplessness. I am finally sleeping and my pain is manageable while I wait for the MRI. I will continue to see the doctors at the St. James clinic due to their professionalism, expertise, and compassion.

Only my 2nnd visit as a new patient I think once they get to know me and my various health issues by test and my records things will go more smoothly. Alot of my health conditions are missing or mixed up. It will smooth out.

It felt like home
everyone I have contact with at every appointment is happy and upbeat - they seem to enjoy their jobs and like being there Dr O'Malley is very thorough and actually listens to what I say and answers questions and discusses WITH me the different treatment options giving both pros and cons of the choices I take the extra time to make the drive to St James just for her and her staff because they are all so great and I get the highest level of treatment from everyone from the time I step foot in the door - I could (and have) see a doctor closer to home but none of them can compare and their staff is usually not very friendly - Dr O'Malley and staff make taking the extra time worth it I definitely tell people about my positive experiences and off the office number to anyone that asks

At the St James Clinic I have been going there for years they have always gone above and beyond to be friendly, nice, and always willing to answer any questions. I would not trade this for anything in the world regarding the medical field
