About Me

I’m Jordan Priest, DNP, FNP-BC, and I joined Phelps Health as a board-certified family nurse practitioner in September 2022. My collaborating physician is Family Medicine Physician Jennifer O'Malley, MD. I see patients of all ages for a broad range of medical conditions, but with my nursing background, I am especially familiar with the senior patient population.

As a provider, my desire is to treat my patients holistically, not just addressing their symptoms or condition, but seeking to understand them as a person. Factors contributing to their medical care — such as transportation and financial barriers, and family dynamics — are important to me. I recognize my patients are individuals; no two patients are the same.

Growing up, my sister had multiple health issues, and I frequently tagged along for her doctor appointments. Seeing caring providers interact with my sister inspired me to want to positively affect people in a similar way.

I am originally from, and still live in, Cuba, Missouri. I am a country girl at heart and love our rural area, which is I why I choose to practice at Phelps Health. Additionally, I completed all of my LPN/RN clinical hours here at this organization, and it was an overwhelmingly positive experience. Working in family medicine, in particular, allows me to have a large reach in our rural communities.

I am married with two boys and enjoy spending time with family, and cooking and baking anything from scratch. Rifle and bow hunting also are hobbies of mine.

I also offer telehealth visits, which allow patients to visit with me remotely using a smartphone, tablet or computer with an internet connection and audio-video capabilities.

I saw Jordan, the nurse practitioner, the last time I was there. She is the only person that answered every question and went out of her way to help me. And I would go to her again or tell anyone else to go. Only to her again. Thank you.
