About Me
I’m Joshua Garrison, DPM, a board-certified podiatrist with over 20 years of experience. I see patients of all ages for foot and ankle concerns, including a variety of deformities, arthritis, trauma and injuries, bone and soft tissue tumors, and ingrown/fungal nails. I also perform foot and ankle surgeries.
I’ve always been fascinated by the human body and wanted a career where I could use that knowledge to help people live healthier lives and keep moving. As a podiatrist, I focus on keeping patients comfortable and mobile so they can continue doing the activities they enjoy. I try to make sure foot and ankle problems never limit someone’s quality of life.
Trust is the foundation of the doctor-patient relationship, and I enjoy building strong relationships with my patients. I stay current with new techniques and treatments in order to deliver excellent care every day. I’m always learning and evolving with my profession.
I’m originally from Springfield, Missouri, but I’ve lived in Rolla for the last 14 years. I joined Phelps Health in September 2025 because it is a growing health system with a great reputation. I also love the area and appreciate Phelps Health’s emphasis on community involvement, which aligns closely with my own values.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife and children, riding motorcycles, practicing martial arts, running, and working out.
I’m always humbled when patients choose me for their care. I want them to know that I am here to help and will do everything I can to support their health and well-being.

Everybody is always very friendly and Dr. Garrison takes his time, he talks to you, he explains things, he does what he can to help you. I would recommend him to anybody.
Everything was exceptionally good
Well overall it was very good. The nurse who put my cast on was friendly knowledgeable and courteous. There was one employee that kept cutting me off when I was trying to talk and that got a little annoying. But it wasn't a serious topic. I have never found any nurses or doctors to be anything other than consummate professionals with great bedside manner.
The nurse seemed to be in a hurry and did not get all of my medications listed.
my first time visit at the Phelps County health system, Waynesville, Missouri. Very pleasant and professional experience. Everyone was courteous and very helpful. The provider was excellent explaining things thoroughly and answered all my questions with expertise and professional professionalism. Would highly recommend this provider for any kind of foot problems you may be having never seemed to be in a hurry was always waiting to see if you had more questions
Answered all my questions and came up with a plan.
Could have simply explained side effects of medication your provider shot into my body. Could have given me some information about what I should have done after injections was made . Could have saved me a lot of embarrassment. As well as alot of discomfort.could supply me with the notes taken during my visit so I could translate for understanding
Dr. Garrison is very caring, knowledgeable in his profession and listens to every word that you tell him.

I understood the medical explanations for my condition and the podiatrist explained at length the symptoms associated with it and that I need not worry as the was no trace of melanoma beneath the toenail; I appreciate the time, care and attention given to the knowledgeable examination.
Dr Garrison and his staff are wonderful! Better direction to his office near the elevator would help. Thank you for Dr Garrison coming to Waynesville! He is awesome!
My only improvement is the main desk in the lobby at the entrance should always have someone there. It was unattended and we were unsure where that we had to ask another guest.

Dr. Garrison and nurse were great! When I was finished and went to checkout, there was no one there. So I went and asked the nurse to help. She took me to the reception desk and there was no one there either.
Dr. Garrison listened and understood my problems. He gave suggestions that might help my problem. He's very interested in his patients and does his best to help with the problem. He is definitely an asset for Phelps Health.

Dr. Garrison done excellent, but he sent me down for a blood clot. I have not got the results on it yet, and I thought he was going to put me on some medicine. So I called over there the next day and got no, they said they'd leave him the message, but I have not heard from Dr. Garrison yet. Maybe he's just too busy, but I'm still waiting.

Everyone and everything was explained and was a very welcoming experience! I absolutely love my doctor Joshua Garrison. I had terrible pain in my foot and the first 2 1/2 months no pain but it came back for about 2 weeks. I received another shot in my foot and it feels brand new. I would recommend him to anyone with any foot problems. He is so nice and fun to be around. I was so scared my first time because I had a bad experience with another doctor, but his personality totally made me calm before I ever even received the injection. I talking 10/10. Very informative 10/10. The whole experience was the same. I could go on and on but I don't want to see anyone else for my feet. That about sums it up. Thank you so much Dr. Garrison

Dr. Garrison and staff were very professional. I am glad that Dr. Garrison is part of your department. My only complaint is one staff member had on perfume and I am very sensitive to fragrances. I don't feel fragrances should be allowed in healthcare settings as many patients have respiratory issues and diseases. I have asthma and many fragrances trigger an attack.
Every one was very helpful and the Dr helped me with my issues that I have been dealing with for years. I'm pain free after 6-8 years of toe pain he gave me relief in a matter of an hour. Thank you Dr Garrison.
