About Me
I’m Nathan Crawshaw, PA-C, and I am a board-certified physician assistant who joined Phelps Health in December 2022. I see patients of all ages, and my collaborating physician is Phelps Health Chief Medical Officer and Family Medicine Physician Darren K. George, DO. I commonly see patients for chronic illnesses, including high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes. I also perform joint injections.
Since an early age, medicine has always interested me. I remember “listening” to my dad’s heart with my toy stethoscope and gravitating towards science classes in school. Prior to becoming a PA, I served in the military and worked as a lab assistant and a phlebotomist.
As a PA, provider-patient teamwork is essential. We need to work together to manage medical conditions and to meet wellness goals. I consider myself a good listener and strive to ensure my patients are being heard.
I choose to work at Phelps Health because of its esteemed reputation in the community. And working here is like coming home, as I was born and raised in Waynesville, Missouri.
When I’m not taking care of patients, I can often be found at the gym. I also enjoy archery, target shooting, video games and spending time with my family. I have two cats, Lynx and Boo.
I also offer telehealth visits, which allow patients to visit with me remotely using a smartphone, tablet or computer with an internet connection and audio-video capabilities.

Outstanding service from the Welcome to Doctors visit.
The wait in the waiting room was longer than expected. It was about one half hour.
Nathan is an amazing doctor and nothing could have been improved unless my Covid test would've came back negative. Lol

I loved the clinic in general. It is a really nice place inside. I love the Art work on the walls. I had a very nice time conversing with the front desk gals. Very nice people through out. Dr Crawshaw is wonderful. He listened and took the steps needed for me.

Everyone was so very nice and helpful. I was carrying a lot of things that day and an assistant helped me to carry part of the load for the good get in the door and then as I left, the doctor help me carry stuff out too I would recommend this place for anybody.
The care provider all ways listens to any concerns when we are in the office to see provider and is very understanding and helpful.
My wait time to see my provider was approximately 1 hour. Evidently there was a mistake in scheduling.

Why is the check in desk different every time you go in? You can never get to know anyone because the next time it is someone different. Much improvment needed in that area. I love my provider and his nurse, they are wonderful. The best I have ever seen at this location most leave a little to be desired.
The nurse for Mr Crawshaw is amazing she's always so nice and she remembers me. That means a lot. Mr. Crawshaw is such a good listener he takes the time to really figure out what is going on. I really like how if he is unsure of something he will look it up. I truly feel listened to and I feel like my health is in good hands.

Nathan truly is a diamond. He is compassionate and caring. He not only treats me like a human but understands my personal needs. I have recommended Nathan to multiple friends and patients of my own- I have a very demanding schedule and Nathan has always been accommodating to time constraints and needs. The nurses are fantastic too! They likely don't get enough praise but they are great! They are always ahead of the game when it comes to prior authorizations and taking care of consults. I would be lost if I didn't have my Phelps Health family! Give them all raises!

The nurse was very kind and explained everything and was very thorough. Dr. Crawshaw took his time and listened to me and I felt like he really cared.
I can't remember the nurses name that day but she has a student with her that day and she was amazing. And the doctor was also great. The nurse did the tests before the doctor came in so we didn't have to wait forever afterwards and they provided me with everything I needed to take care of my son at home without me even having to ask. 10/10 that day
You listened to my concerns about my weight and offered solutions. Also got me another blood pressure medication when the lisinopril gave me a terrible cough.

The front desk always has someone new every time I go to the clinic, you don't get a chance to get acquainted with anyone. The person at the desk needs to speak up I can never hear what they say without asking to repeat. As far as my provider and the nursing staff I could not be happier with. They are wonderful.
Dr. Crawshaw and his team are great. I cant think of anything that would make it better that they could control or do.
Nathan listened to my concerns and weighed all the options. He explained why he ordered testing to find the problem.
It was nice that I could get my blood drawn in the office and not have to go to the lab. One thing that could be improved is having a couple of days of flu shot clinics in the fall in the office so that we don't have to schedule an appointment for that or go to the pharmacy for that.

I have not ever had anything but a welcoming smile and a feeling that I am truly cared for. From front desk to Pharmacy everyone is helpful and friendly it is so nice to be listened to and not ignored.

Nathan Crawshaw is absolutely fantastic. He takes the time with his patients to thoroughly listen and ensures all issues are addressed in a way that is understandable and assuring. The provider was running behind and stated so when he came in the room. My appointment was 4:20 and he came in the room around 4:55. It felt very rushed. When I came out of the exam room at 5:05 all the nurses clapped and he asked what was going on and they said "you did it" referring to the time. This provider is usually very good but this visit was terrible and I felt very rushed

Got right in and everyone was great. Did not have to wait long. Dr. Explained everything and got me on my way and was very nice.
