About Me
I'm Raymond Bruno, FNP, a certified family nurse practitioner who sees patients of all ages at the Phelps Health Walk-In Clinics. I joined Phelps Health in February 2026, and I work closely with my collaborating physician, Rachelle Gorrell, DO.
I treat patients of all ages for a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries, including colds, flu, strep throat, ear infections, minor cuts, sprains and mild allergic reactions. I also perform procedures such as splinting and suturing.
I began my medical career as an EMT and then became a paramedic before getting my nursing degree. As a nurse, I worked in the emergency department (ED) and with substance abuse and psychiatric patients before becoming a nurse practitioner.
I chose the Walk-In Clinic because it allows me to help many people and aligns with my goal to provide care to the most underserved populations in rural communities. I believe that healthcare is a right—not a privilege—and should be available to all, regardless of ability to pay.
I'm originally from St. Louis, and currently live in Lenox, Missouri, with my wife. We have three children, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild, as well as four dogs and three cats. In my free time, I enjoy farming, gardening and caring for our livestock—60 chickens and 40 cows. I spend a lot of time outdoors hunting, fishing and camping.
Phelps Health has a great reputation among providers I’ve worked with previously, and I’m glad to have the opportunity to make a difference in the community's well-being.
