About Me
I'm Rachelle Gorrell, DO, a board-certified family medicine physician with Phelps Health. Additionally, I serve as the division chief of primary care. Since 2001, I have served patients in the St. James area.
My collaborating providers are Family Nurse Practitioners Chris Durbin, Sydney Fryer, Helen Litz, Ariella Martin, Megan McBride and Craig Tatom.
I chose family medicine as my specialty so that I could help families and people of all ages. I enjoy caring for different generations of families and getting to know everybody.
In seventh grade, my science teacher encouraged me to become a doctor. I initially wanted to become a teacher, and in many ways, I am, as I educate patients about their health.
I can help patients with diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease, and I also offer wellness visits. At Phelps Health, we can take care of most concerns that patients have, without sending them out of town.
My hope is that you, as a patient, feel that your health concern is addressed, but also that I treat you as a whole – from head to toe. I want you to feel comfortable talking about any problem.
I also offer telehealth visits, which allow patients to visit with me remotely using a smartphone, tablet or computer with an internet connection and audio-video capabilities.
