Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the United States, except for skin cancer. A man has a one in nine chance of getting prostate cancer during his lifetime.

Prostate cancer is found in the prostate gland, which only men have. The prostate makes fluid that is part of semen.

The most common type of prostate cancer is adenocarcinoma, which develop in the gland cells that make prostate fluid.
