About Me
I’m Abby Blanc, FNP-C, and I joined Phelps Health as a board-certified family nurse practitioner in May 2023. I see patients of all ages, and my collaborating physician is Phelps Health Family Medicine Physician Matthew Hurley, MD.
I can help patients with anxiety, depression, thyroid disorders, diabetes, high blood pressure and other acute and chronic conditions. I also offer wellness visits, well-child visits, diabetes education and joint injections.
I previously was a registered nurse (RN) at Phelps Health, where I began working in 2020. I joined Phelps Health because I noticed its staff’s involvement in the community. Phelps Health also has great benefits.
I originally wanted to be a kindergarten teacher, but my grandparents encouraged me to pursue a healthcare career. I decided to become a nurse practitioner because I wanted to help more people. I aim to care for the whole patient, not just their condition or disease. I enjoy taking time with my patients and getting to know them.
I grew up in St. James and now live in Rolla with my husband and three girls, one dog and one cat. In my spare time, I enjoy shopping and taking family walks.
I also offer telehealth visits, which allow patients to visit with me remotely using a smartphone, tablet or computer with an internet connection and audio-video capabilities.

Girls at front very cavalier there was a computer issue that was focused and waiting room could hear discussion. Nurse acted bored. Not really rude though. Doctor abby is always knowledgeable and a sweetheart

I felt very valued and listened to. I feel like both the nurse and provider were very friendly and knowledgeable. They both were very attentive. My time with them felt more like talking with a medical professional friend that was very invested in my overall health than an appointment with a new provider. I felt as though all of my questions were answered and she was very proactive in taking care of getting answers for anything that was abnormal. I have already recommended her as a provider to several people. Please do whatever you need to do to keep Abbi Blanc on staff at Phelps Health. She is a rockstar!

Every thing was great!!!
The only thing that would have enhanced my experience is being asked if having a trainee in the room was okay. Most of the time I wouldn't mind but I'm a private person and it's bad enough when I have to tell the provider my issues but to have to explain in front of a trainee was extra stressful. No, I didn't say anything to anyone - didn't want to stir up trouble for anyone. Nor did I want to hurt anyone's feelings. But taking the time to ask if a trainee was welcome would have been nice.

Doing there job good

I showed up late for my appointment. I misread the appointment time, and I thought it was 9:45, and I showed up at 9:45, and it turns out my appointment was 8:45. They still got me in, and took care of me, and treated me respectfully, even though I came in late. Very nice staff, and very helpful, and very grateful for them taking care of me.
