Effective May 3, 2023, the following changes were made to the masking policy at all Phelps Health locations:
- Patients and visitors will NOT be required to wear masks in our facilities. However, patients and visitors must wear a mask if the following apply:
- They have flu or COVID-19 symptoms, or
- They are seeing patients on precautions requiring that masks be worn.
- Staff must wear masks if the patient is on certain precautions (includes staff in the Transitional Care Facility).
- Staff recovering from a recent COVID-19 illness or known exposure to COVID-19 will continue to mask in the presence of any healthcare workers, patients or visitors, according to Occupational Health and Wellness.
