About Me

I was born and raised in Rolla, where I now live with my wife and three children. Early in my career, I practiced in southwest Missouri and served as the founding medical director of the Willard Medical Center at Citizens Memorial Hospital. I also discovered how much I enjoy teaching, serving as adjunct faculty at Kansas City University, where I taught medical students, and the CoxHealth Family Medicine Residency Program, where I helped train resident physicians.

My experience in the U.S. Navy Reserve has further shaped how I practice medicine and lead others. As a lieutenant commander (O-4), I became the first Reserve family physician to be credentialed to perform Cesarean deliveries. My service has taken me from delivering babies in Spain to serving as a battalion surgeon and leading the medical detachment for my Marine Corps unit.

Today, in addition to my work with Phelps Health, I serve as CEO of Myers Clinic, the oldest medical institution in the Ozarks. My great-uncles and grandfather started the practice in 1941, instilling in me a deep appreciation for the responsibility that comes with caring for generations of patients.
