"Guidelines and protocols are your foundation, not your ceiling. In medicine, every patient is unique. Hone the skill of adapting evidence-based medicine into tailored plans that fit a particular person at that moment. Treat the individual, not the disease."
About Me
I’m excited to be part of the Phelps Health Family Medicine Residency Program and look forward to bringing my experience in medical education to our residency. As Director of Student Medical Education at Phelps Health, I provide educational leadership for third- and fourth-year medical students during their time at Phelps Health.
After completing residency in Colorado, I returned to Missouri to practice as a primary care physician and hospitalist. I transitioned to a full-time hospitalist role at Phelps Health in 2025.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy hunting, spending time outdoors, raising chickens, staying active through health and fitness, and spending time with my family, including my two daughters.
Why Phelps Health?
My primary motivation for joining this residency is teaching. I’ve always envisioned myself working closely with residents, helping shape them into confident, well-rounded physicians. Throughout my own training, I was fortunate to have several excellent teachers who shaped the physician I became, and I’ve long wanted to pay that forward. Being part of this residency program gives me the opportunity to do exactly that.
