Three Things to Know

  • Phelps Health Immediate Care Clinics have been renamed as Walk-In Clinics to better represent the services they offer.
  • The clinics in Rolla and Waynesville are now called Phelps Health Walk-In Clinic – Rolla and Phelps Health Walk-In Clinic – Waynesville, respectively.
  • At the Walk-In Clinics, patients can be seen for allergies, bug bites, minor cuts, nausea, sprains, strains and other conditions.

To better reflect the services offered at the Phelps Health Immediate Care Clinics, these locations are now known as Walk-In Clinics.

The clinic in Rolla, located in Suite C at 603 South Bishop Avenue (US Highway 63), is now called Phelps Health Walk-In Clinic – Rolla.

The clinic in Waynesville, located in Suite 150 of the Waynesville Medical Plaza at 1000 GW Lane Street, is now called Phelps Health Walk-In Clinic – Waynesville.

“By changing the name of these clinics, we hope patients will better understand the services provided in these care settings,” said Phelps Health Vice President of Medical Group Operations Jason Bartholomew.

Walk-In Clinic Hours

Immediate care usually refers to treating patients with urgent health needs, while walk-in clinics offer these care services and more.

Providers at Phelps Health Walk-In Clinics can see patients for many conditions, including the following:

  • Allergic reactions
  • Bug bites and stings
  • Minor cuts, wounds and burns
  • Nausea, vomiting and diarrhea
  • Sprains, strains and possible broken bones

In addition, patients can get physicals; rapid flu, strep and COVID-19 testing; return-to-work and -school evaluations; and have other medical needs met.

“While our clinic names have changed, you can still count on the same quality care for your healthcare needs,” said Phelps Health Walk-In Clinics Medical Director Jeffery Kerr, DO.

Walk-in clinics are helpful in situations when you need to address a non-life-threatening health issue and can’t wait for a doctor’s appointment.

If your primary care provider is unavailable, or you need care outside of normal clinic hours, Phelps Health’s Walk-In Clinics offer a convenient option for you to receive care.

Both Walk-In Clinics in Rolla and Waynesville are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM-8:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM-6:00 PM. The clinics are closed only on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

The Walk-In Clinics accept Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE and most insurance carriers. With this name change, patients should not expect to see any difference to the cost of their care at these clinics.

If you’re having a serious or life-threatening medical issue or emergency, such as shortness of breath, chest pain or stroke-like symptoms, call 911 or visit your nearest emergency department.

No Appointment? No Problem
