Services We Offer
Radiography
Phelps Health offers digital radiography, which includes X-rays where digital sensors are used. X-ray imaging produces pictures of the body’s internal structures and is the most frequently used form of medical imaging.
Ultrasound
This type of imaging uses a transducer or probe to generate sound waves and produce pictures of the body's internal structures. Ultrasounds have no known harmful effects and provide a clear picture of soft tissues that do not show up well on X-ray images.
Nuclear Medicine
This type of imaging uses small amounts of radioactive material, a special camera and a computer to create images of the inside of the body. Nuclear medicine helps to assess the physiology of the body by assessing functions of various organ systems within the body.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
This type of imaging uses a powerful magnetic field, radio waves and a computer to produce detailed pictures of the body's internal structures that are clearer, more detailed and more likely, in some instances, to identify and accurately characterize disease than other imaging methods.
Computed Tomography (CT or CAT scan)
This diagnostic imaging test is used to create detailed images of internal organs, bones, soft tissue and blood vessels. CT is fast, painless, noninvasive and accurate.
