About Me
I’m Brittany “Britt” Freeman, DNP, CMN, and I joined Phelps Health as a certified nurse midwife in February 2026. I care for adolescent and adult females, addressing a variety of gynecological and women’s health concerns. My collaborating physician is Phelps Health Obstetrician and Gynecologist Wes Harden, MD, FACOG.
I see patients for prenatal and postpartum visits and birth control, and perform intrauterine device (IUD) and Nexplanon insertions. I also help patients with sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and lactation and vaginal health concerns.
I was first drawn to women’s health at 16, when my baby sister was born. Watching my mom go through pregnancy left an amazing—and lasting—impression. Since age 18, I’ve worked in labor and delivery in many roles—starting as a unit secretary, then an OB (obstetrics) tech, an RN and now a midwife.
As a women’s health provider, I believe in listening first and making sure every patient feels heard and respected, even if we disagree. I see myself as a partner in their care, combining evidence-based medicine with a holistic approach. Walking alongside women and families during such meaningful moments is why I love what I do.
I’m originally from the St. Louis area and am married with one dog and one cat. When I’m not working, I love to be outdoors and enjoy traveling, snorkeling and audiobooks.
