About Me
My name is Travis Turnage, PA-C, a certified physician assistant who sees patients of all ages at the Phelps Health Walk-In Clinics. I joined the Walk-In team in September 2026 and work closely with my collaborating physician, Rachelle Gorrell, DO.
I treat patients of all ages for a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries, including colds, flu, strep throat, ear infections, minor cuts, sprains and mild allergic reactions. I also perform procedures such as splinting and suturing.
I’ve always liked science and learning new things, which led me to a medical career. Working in the Walk-In Clinics allows me to continue learning every day. No two days are alike, and I never know what to expect. My background in the Emergency Department prepared me well for the variety of acute conditions patients seek treatment for at the Walk-In Clinic.
Regardless of the reason for their visit, every patient is a priority to me. I provide honest answers with empathy and compassion, and treat everyone with equal dignity and respect.
I’m originally from Lake of the Ozarks, but currently live in Rolla with my wife and three children. My family is my focus when I’m not at work, and I enjoy spending as much quality time with them as I can.
