What is Mid-MO AHEC?
Mid-MO AHEC (Mid-Missouri Area Health Education Center) is part of a federal, state and local network dedicated to improving the health of individuals and communities by transforming healthcare through education. Mid-MO AHEC serves a 23-county area in central Missouri.

Where is Mid-MO AHEC located?
Our office is located in Suite 370 of the Phelps Health Medical Office Building, 1050 West 10th Street in Rolla.

What can Mid-MO AHEC do for clinical students?
Mid-MO AHEC coordinates clinical rotations, didactic training and, for those who qualify, housing. Also, students will receive access to the MAHEC digital library.

What is the didactics program at Phelps Health?
The Mid-MO AHEC didactics program at Phelps Health consists of lectures, workshops and online training. A few events are streamed live every week. We coordinate approximately 30 hours of content every month during the academic year. Topics include clinical skills (e.g., EKG and radiology interpretation), communication, cultural competency, social determinates of health and inter-professional education.
